Anglicare's Strategy & Transformation team is responsible for developing the organisation's strategy and driving key strategic initiatives. We are now looking for a Strategic Corporate Development Manager.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful social impact, especially for senior Australians, by contributing to transformative initiatives across Sydney. As a key member of our Strategy & Transformation team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future and direction of Anglicare.

You will lead the evaluation of corporate development opportunities, including partnerships, mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, ensuring that strategy, valuation, and risks are considered with rigour and commerciality.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating and recommending corporate development opportunities aligned with Anglicare's strategy and mission.
  • Generating creative solutions to achieve strategic objectives, such as through new ventures or capital structuring solutions.
  • Coordinating transaction processes across various workstreams.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensuring action plans are in place to deliver strategic and financial objectives.
  • Reporting on post-transaction performance against original assumptions and targets.
  • Managing the appointment and use of external advisers.
Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • 5+ years of end-to-end M&A transaction experience.
  • A qualification in accounting, legal, or finance, or other relevant field.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including the ability to build financial models and valuations.
  • Exceptional stakeholder relationship and communication skills.
  • Post-transaction implementation experience is preferred.
