Job Title: Environmental Restoration Team Lead

We are seeking an experienced and motivated team leader to join our environmental restoration team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining our natural assets, restoring habitats, and improving water quality.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the restoration of degraded ecosystems, managing pest plants and feral animals, and supporting local environmental volunteer groups. They will also contribute to the development and implementation of environmental projects, as well as provide technical advice and support to field-based staff.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate IV in Leadership and Management or equivalent qualifications, combined with substantial supervisor experience.
  • A Certificate IV in Conservation and Land Management, Landscape Ecology, Biology, or other relevant qualification, accompanied by significant experience.
  • An accredited chainsaw ticket (Level 2) and Agricultural Chemical Distribution Certificate (ACDC).
  • Firefighting supervisor (Vegetation) accreditation and a current "C" class manual driver's licence.
  • Construction Industry White Card (30215 QLD) and First Aid Certificate.

Desirable skills include:

  • Queensland Government Accreditation for Traffic Management Implementation (TMI).
  • Ability to obtain Authorised Persons card.
  • Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with experience supervising field-based or operational staff.
  • High-level experience in supervision of multiple and simultaneous maintenance activities across geographically dispersed work sites.
