Job Overview

We are seeking a Compliance Officer to join our team at the Greyhound Welfare and Integrity Commission. As a Compliance Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of greyhound racing in NSW.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting state-wide investigations, ensuring compliance with the Greyhound Racing Rules and associated NSW legislations, specifically targeting animal cruelty matters and related offenses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough and meticulous investigations into alleged breaches of the Greyhound Racing Rules;
  • Develop and implement strategies to prevent non-compliance and promote a culture of integrity within the industry;
  • Provide expert advice to stakeholders on regulatory matters and ensure that all interactions are conducted in a professional and courteous manner;
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including investigation files and compliance metrics;
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a regulatory environment, preferably in a role involving investigations and compliance;
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and communicate complex information effectively;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address potential risks and issues;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and represent the organization in a professional manner;
