Senior Claims Technician Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Claims Technician to handle high-value and complex claims within our Large Loss Unit. This role involves managing a portfolio of claims with potential losses exceeding £500,000.

The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with a passion for delivering exceptional service and navigating challenging scenarios. They will conduct thorough investigations, engage in negotiations, and ensure the effective settlement of complex claims within established authority levels.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, where you will be responsible for leading solicitor/loss adjuster meetings and AXA Large Loss estimating committees. You will also share knowledge and support the development of others in your team and the wider claims community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively manage a portfolio of claims with a potential of £500K+ from notification through to settlement.
  • Be responsible for either Major Property losses or Catastrophic/Serious personal injury claims (depending on knowledge/experience).
  • Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining accurate estimating and controlling indemnity spend.
  • Lead solicitor/loss adjuster meetings and AXA Large Loss estimating committees.
  • Share knowledge and support the development of others in your team and the wider claims community.
  • Build excellent working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Provide regular communication with policyholders, their representatives, third parties, underwriting and actuarial colleagues.
Requirements:

You will be educated to A-Level or degree standard or have an equivalent professional qualification (ACII/FCII/CILA). As a precondition of employment, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
