We are seeking a Claims Specialist to join our team due to ongoing growth and development within the insurance industry. As a key member of our claims handling unit, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of accidental damage claims from first notification of loss through to settlement.

Your primary objective will be to ensure that all claims are settled within agreed timescales and that customers are kept informed about the progress of their claim. This will involve effective communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills to build strong relationships with customers and provide a high level of service.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain ownership of your allocation of claims and set up each case accordingly
  • Ensure timely settlement of claims and keep customers updated on progress
  • Manage and resolve internal and external queries promptly
  • Develop close working relationships with customers to deliver exceptional service
  • Adhere to personal authority limits and refer cases requiring authorization when necessary
Requirements for Success
  • A minimum of one year's experience in claims handling
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and negotiation skills
  • A methodical and accurate approach to work
  • Strong attention to detail and natural problem-solving skills
