Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Pharmacy Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced pharmacist to drive innovation and support best care regarding medication use at our organisation.

This role will focus on developing high-quality, evidence-based medicines-related policies, procedures and guidelines that support safe, standardised and sustainable medicines use across Western Health.

The successful candidate will have excellent word processing, spread sheet and database software skills, as well as experience engaging with multidisciplinary stakeholders to shape clinical policy and service delivery.


About the Role
  • Develop high-quality, evidence-based medicines-related policies, procedures and guidelines that support safe, standardised and sustainable medicines use across Western Health.
  • Establish a consistent and efficient approach to the creation, review, and maintenance of all policies and medication protocols.
  • Assist with the review and authorship of non-pharmacy sponsored policies and collaborate with specialist pharmacists as required.
  • Lead the development, standardisation, and governance of internal pharmacy standard operating procedures in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Support the implementation of sustainability initiatives across the organisation.
