Job DescriptionThe Royal Children's Hospital's Emergency Department is the busiest paediatric ED in the country, assessing and treating over 90,000 children a year for a range of urgent medical and surgical conditions. Our team of experienced specialists and fellows provide supervision to junior doctors and registrars, delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to national and international research.
We are seeking exceptional candidates who are undergoing specialist training in paediatrics, emergency medicine, intensive care, general practice or other specialties where there is an interest in developing skills in paediatric emergency medicine. As a Registrar, you will play a vital role in providing leadership, supervision and direct care to patients in the Emergency Department, meeting key performance indicators and contributing to our team's success.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical care to patients in the Emergency Department
- Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care
- Registration/eligible for registration to practise medicine in Australia
- Completion of APLS/equivalent or undertaking to complete this training prior to commencement of employment
- Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
