Principal Flood Protection Specialist

As a Principal Flooding and Drainage Engineer, you will play a vital role in designing and documenting work to industry-accepted standards.
Job Responsibilities- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to undertake hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and calculations.
- Prepare inputs into engineering reports, specifications, and supporting design documentation.
- Design and document outputs for the preparation of industry-standard design drawings.
- Mentor junior engineers to complete engineering works.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to achieve efficient design outcomes.
- Hold a relevant tertiary qualification in civil engineering or a related field, with experience in drainage/flooding design of medium-large scale infrastructure projects.
- Have knowledge of ARR, Austroads drainage guidelines, and Australian Standards applicable to drainage infrastructure.
- Have supervisory and mentoring experience.
- Be proficient in software such as 12D, DRAINS, TUFLOW, MUSCI, GIS, WBNM, RORB, RAFTS, and HEC-RAS.
