Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Corrosion Protection Specialist to join our team in Adelaide, SA. The successful candidate will have the primary function of network distribution and pipeline integrity management, leading the implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of cathodic protection systems.

  • Conduct technical assessments of cathodic protection systems to ensure they meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical input to programs for implementing, maintaining and improving cathodic protection systems.
  • Supervise the application of pipe coatings and ensure they meet specific industry standards.
  • Communicate corrosion concepts and processes in a clear and compelling manner at a level suitable for the intended audience.
Requirements:
  • Australian Corrosion Association (ACA) Corrosion Technologist accreditation or A-Class Electrical trade qualification and/or ACA Corrosion Technologist Certificate and/or NACE Level 1 Coating Inspector preferred.
  • Proven experience in analysing data, determining trends and interpreting findings to make critical adjustments or initiate corrective actions to cathodic protection systems.
  • Well-developed computer skills, with extensive experience in word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
  • Ability to interpret technical reports, assess field data and recommend adjustments to cathodic protection systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and comfortable operating collaboratively or independently.
