Principal Defence Systems Specialist


This is a unique opportunity to join our team of skilled professionals and contribute to complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia's future.


As a Principal Defence Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of cutting-edge defence systems. You will work closely with our technical team to develop and implement innovative solutions that meet the needs of our clients.


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in defence systems engineering, with experience in system design, safety engineering, and/or systems concepts and specifications. They will also possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and implementation of defence systems, including system architecture, component selection, and integration.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to meet client needs, working closely with the technical team.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers, promoting their professional development and growth.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in defence systems engineering, with a strong understanding of system design, safety engineering, and/or systems concepts and specifications.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality results, with a focus on customer satisfaction and project success.
