
Key Business Development Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced business development professional to lead our pre-contracts efforts and drive business growth.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Develop strategic business relationships with clients and industry partners to identify viable prospects and maximize revenue and profitability.
- Analyze business opportunities for new work, determine the probability of securing a project, and allocate resources to turn these opportunities into secured work.
- Undertake commercial reviews of prospects to ensure financial viability, margin expectations, and risk level compliance with corporate guidelines.
- Lead functional teams to secure projects through the EOI, Tender, and Post Tender phases, up to and including contract award.
- Build, lead, and develop capability within a positive employee relations environment.
- 10+ years of sales/proposals or marketing experience in construction or a related field, with key clients.
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Sciences, Project Management, or Construction Management.
- In-depth market and technical knowledge in a specialist sector (e.g. Utilities, Civil).
Duties include leading cross-functional teams and driving business growth through effective relationship management, opportunity analysis, and commercial review.
This role requires a deep understanding of the construction industry, as well as strong analytical and leadership skills.
