As a Job Placement Consultant, you will help people facing health challenges find new employment opportunities and support them in returning to meaningful and sustainable work to live the best life they can.
- Work collaboratively with injured workers, potential employers, and our internal team of allied health professionals to provide safe, sustainable opportunities for workers to re-enter the workforce;
- Contribute to injured workers' ability to achieve return-to-work goals through job skills development, confidence building, and promoting independence;
- Apply and deliver customer service in employment services and job placement;
- Empower clients to effectively present their skills and abilities when seeking employment;
- Broker new employment opportunities in the Melbourne Metropolitan area and surrounds, which in turn provide swift re-engagement into employment for workers who have been detached from the workplace due to a workplace injury (physical and/or psychological);
- Build strong relationships with local employers and organizations;
- Complete written progress and various other reports on a regular basis.
This role requires servicing a caseload across our East and South East Melbourne region.
Key qualifications include:
- Experience in Occupational and/or Vocational Rehabilitation is highly desirable;
- Previous experience in Employment Services/Disability Employment as a high performer;
- Strong resume writing skills with an understanding of local labour market;
- A passion for assisting people to gain employment and enhance their careers;
- The ability to grow our services and build strong relationships with key customers;
- Current driver license and motor vehicle.
