Job Description

Join the Melbourne New Employment Services team, passionate about supporting people with their return to health, work, and life goals

As a Job Placement Consultant, you will help individuals facing health challenges find new employment opportunities and support their return to meaningful, sustainable work.

This role will service a caseload across East & South East Melbourne.

Your duties will include:

  • Collaborate with injured workers, potential employers, and health professionals to provide safe, sustainable re-entry into the workforce
  • Assist injured workers in achieving return-to-work goals through job skills development, confidence building, and promoting independence
  • Deliver customer service in employment services and job placement
  • Empower clients to present their skills effectively when seeking employment
  • Broker employment opportunities in Melbourne and surrounds for workers returning after injury
  • Build relationships with local employers and organizations
  • Complete reports on progress and other required documentation

Qualifications

  • Experience in Occupational and/or Vocational Rehabilitation is highly desirable
  • Previous experience in Employment Services / Disability Employment as a high performer
  • Strong resume writing skills and understanding of the local labor market
  • Passion for helping people gain employment and advance their careers
  • Ability to grow services and build key relationships
  • Current driver's license and access to a motor vehicle
