Recycling Operations Coordinator Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Recycling Operations Coordinator to oversee the smooth operation of our depot, ensuring exceptional customer service by assisting customers sort their recyclable products and providing them with the correct refund.

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for supporting the Depot Manager with day-to-day depot operations, ensuring customers feel welcomed and assisted with their recycling products, leading a small team to deliver outstanding customer service, manual counting of containers, sorting recyclable items into their correct categories, cash handling, and ensuring accurate record keeping.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Depot Manager to optimize depot operations
  • Deliver exceptional customer experience through proactive assistance
  • Lead a small team to achieve outstanding customer satisfaction
  • Accurately count and record container quantities
  • Sort recyclable items into designated categories
  • Manage cash transactions and maintain accurate records
  • Identify and report health and safety hazards, risks, or faults
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction
About You
  • Previous customer service, hospitality, or retail experience is preferred
  • Leadership experience with a small or medium-sized team is advantageous
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and Excel is desirable
  • A current driver's license is required
  • You possess a positive can-do attitude, prioritizing customer service in all interactions
