Senior Grain Handling Coordinator

As a key member of our Operations team, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of tasks related to grain receival, transfer, and export.

This is a physical role which will involve manual handling tasks and site hygiene. The role will be on a 10/4 roster with accommodation provided.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the grain receiving team
  • Oversee the receiving of inbound grain shipments, ensuring accurate recording and segregation
  • Operate and maintain receiving equipment including mobile plant equipment and all site assets
  • Coordinate with other departments such as quality control and storage to ensure smooth operations
  • Assist the Maintenance team across sites
  • Enforce safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements:

  • A high level of interpersonal skills including assertiveness, communication, and time management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out tasks to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • High level of organisation and ability to manage multiple priorities

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience in a warehouse or grain handling environment
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery and equipment
  • Valid Western Australian C class driver's license
  • Be able to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol Screening
