Job Title: Harvest Quality CoordinatorAbout the Role:

The position of Harvest Quality Coordinator is a key role within our organisation, responsible for ensuring the in-loading and out-loading of grain quality throughout the harvest season. This involves providing guidance to site staff on current quality standards and issues related to quality systems, as well as coordinating and delivering grain quality training to ensure compliance with our grain quality practices.

In addition, you will be responsible for detecting and managing contaminated commodities, providing guidance to growers on current quality standards, and ensuring the effective control of grain insects and other pests. You will also be required to segregate, handle, and test GM and non-GM grains effectively.

  • Provide guidance to site staff regarding current quality standards and issues related to quality systems.
  • Coordinate and deliver grain quality training for CBH staff to ensure compliance with CBH grain quality practices.
  • Ensure contaminated commodities are promptly detected and the required documentation and processes are adhered to.
  • Provide guidance to growers in relation to current quality standards.
  • Ensure the zone effectively controls grain insects and other pests, detection and management of chemical residues, and effective segregation, handling, and testing of GM and non-GM grains.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have previous experience in grain sampling combined with the ability to successfully complete the CBH Grain Sampling certificate. You must also have proven ability to plan and communicate effectively and manage competing priorities, as well as be competent in the operation of Microsoft Office suite of products.

Proven experience in the delivery of training would be highly regarded, as would the ability to work at heights, bend, stretch, lift, climb, and be deemed physically fit in accordance with our operational worker pre-employment medical.
