About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Information Governance Specialist to lead our efforts in information management governance. This is an exciting opportunity to advance information and knowledge capabilities, focusing on governance, compliance, and building strategic partnerships across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Information Management Governance: Lead the execution of the Information Governance Framework, ensuring comprehensive lifecycle management, compliance, and alignment with business and regulatory requirements. Develop and monitor procedures to enhance data integrity, retention, and accessibility.
  • Strategic Thought Leadership: Drive information management initiatives aligned with evolving business needs. Provide expert insights on trends, risks, and strategic direction, contributing to organisational knowledge management goals and promoting best practices.
  • External Liaison: Manage relationships with key external organisations, including completion of annual compliance submissions and ensuring adherence to relevant policies.
  • Service Delivery & Advice: Oversee assessments of information systems, ensuring compliance with archiving standards and regulations. Design and implement processes to enhance service quality and support best practices in information management.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance: Support teams in improving compliance and quality in information management. Identify risks, establish quality assurance processes, and work collaboratively to mitigate issues in line with regulatory standards.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A degree in Knowledge, Information, Records, or Data Management, with experience in a government or complex, regulated environment.
  • Extensive experience in information governance, with a strong grasp of government archiving, protective security, and data retention requirements.
  • Key competencies including credibility and professionalism, strategic thinking, collaborative leadership, and excellent communication skills.

  • A competitive salary of approximately $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on your experience and qualifications.
