Job Title: Strategic HR Manager

Bethanie, a leading provider of aged care and retirement living services, has been welcoming and caring for seniors for over 65 years.

Our People, Culture and Brand team provides critical Human Resources services to our business and employees. We are seeking an experienced manager to lead our Human Resources business partnering function, Talent Acquisition and HR Connect teams to deliver best practice people solutions in a dynamic environment.

The successful candidate will report to the General Manager, People and work closely with the broader People and Culture leadership team, providing high-level advice on all HR matters, including people and cultural strategy, current employment legislation and awards, employee relations, HR planning, retention and performance management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring Bethanie attracts, retains, develops and manages a highly engaged and committed workforce.
  • Maintaining a strong and up-to-date HR policy and procedure framework.
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in systems and processes.

The ideal candidate is a proven leader with broad experience across human resources and organisational capability. They must bring a strategic approach and be able to negotiate, consult, influence and engage stakeholders effectively.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Sound interpersonal skills with proven ability to work collaboratively with others and lead teams.
  • Ability to understand awards, agreements and legislation impacting on contracts and rosters.
  • An effective and creative approach to problem solving.
  • Effective at building rapport with key stakeholders to develop collaborative business relationships.
  • Highly self-motivated and service delivery focused.
  • Undergraduate qualifications in Human Resources or related discipline.
