About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to join our rapidly growing finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processes, including collaborating closely with our outsourced payroll vendor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processes, including processing monthly payroll runs, commissions, and bonuses.
  • Process terminations in compliance with statutory laws and company policies.
  • Prepare and lodge accurate monthly payroll tax returns for relevant states and ensure compliance with Superannuation requirements.
  • Reconcile annual PAYG reports with the ATO's STP and prepare payroll end-of-month reconciliations and reports.
  • Maintain and update employee personal and payroll records, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Generate monthly reports on outstanding annual leave balances.
  • Liaise with employees and management to address and resolve payroll-related issues and general inquiries.
  • Document and enhance payroll processes and procedures for greater efficiency and accuracy.
  • Oversee the timesheet system, ensuring weekly timesheets are submitted by deadlines, and generate timesheet reports for various business units.
  • Review and approve Independent Contractor invoices for accuracy and compliance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., HR, Business, Finance).
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience managing end-to-end payroll processes.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll-related legislation, including interpreting awards.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritise competing tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a geographically distributed team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary range for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, superannuation, and paid annual leave.
