About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Payroll Specialist to join our team at Anton Murray Consulting in Sydney, covering Ancillary Areas on a permanent basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for a junior Payroll Officer or Assistant Accountant looking to step up into a leadership role and take ownership of end-to-end monthly payruns for around 600 employees across multiple entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update payroll databases accurately and efficiently
  • Ensure employees' records are up-to-date and compliant with regulations
  • Leave management in WorkDay and iChris, including processing and approval
  • Prepare termination calculations and ensure timely payment to affected parties
  • Produce end-of-month reports and remit payments to third-party vendors
  • Lodge and pay superannuation, withholding tax, and payroll tax to relevant authorities within specified deadlines
  • Manage group payroll email inbox, responding to queries promptly and professionally
  • Set up timesheets for employees and assist in annual reconciliations
  • Collaborate with Payroll Controllers, HR Business Partners, and BU teams to ensure accurate and timely pay-related matters

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in payroll, assistant accounting, or junior HR roles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detailed-oriented, with strong time management and deadline-meeting abilities
  • Proactive, flexible, and able to communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Positive attitude, open-minded, and collaborative approach

Salary: AU$60,000 - AU$80,000 per annum, depending on experience
