New permanent Senior Payroll Specialist opportunity, working for a reputable not-for-profit client based in the heart of Sydney.

With a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $85,000 per annum plus superannuation, this role offers an excellent compensation package.

As a key member of the payroll team, you will be responsible for end-to-end monthly payroll processing, including payment of superannuation, STP submission, and maintaining annual leave balances. You will also ensure the accuracy of all payments and record compliance within the MYOB system.

Key responsibilities:

  • Process end-to-end monthly payroll, including superannuation payments, STP submissions, and journal postings.
  • Maintain the MYOB system to ensure accurate payment records and compliance with local legislation.
  • Assist with award maintenance and ensure compliance with NSW and ACT legislation.
  • Perform month-end processing, including wages reconciliation, payroll tax (NSW & ACT), superannuation reconciliation, and PAYG.
  • Administer workers' compensation and income protection insurance for employees in NSW and ACT.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to stakeholders, addressing any payroll queries and concerns.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects related to the payroll team and support the payroll manager with additional duties as needed.

Desired skills and experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
  • Proficiency in the MYOB system, although not essential.
  • The ability to interpret awards and stay up-to-date with legislative changes.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to conduct work with minimal error.
