Sexual Assault Counsellor

This is a challenging yet rewarding role for an experienced professional to join our team in providing specialist support, crisis care and advocacy for victims of sexual assault.

  • In this position, you will provide therapeutic and case management services to adult and child victims of sexual assault and their non-offending family members.
  • You will be responsible for the provision of crisis counselling & support and facilitation of forensic/medical services as required.

The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology or Counselling and eligibility for appropriate professional registration or association membership. They will also possess demonstrated counselling experience in complex trauma and trauma informed practice within a Violence, Abuse & Neglect setting.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology or Counselling
  • Eligibility for appropriate professional registration or association membership
  • Demonstrated counselling experience in complex trauma and trauma informed practice within a Violence, Abuse & Neglect setting
