Domestic Family Violence and Sexual Assault Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Domestic Family Violence and Sexual Assault Therapist to provide high-quality, culturally competent therapeutic counselling services to individuals and families affected by domestic and family violence, as well as sexual assault.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver individual and group therapeutic counselling sessions to clients experiencing domestic and family violence and sexual assault
  • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments, crisis interventions, risk assessment, and safety planning
  • Advocate for clients and provide psychoeducation on healthy relationships and violence prevention
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients
Requirements:
  • Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role
  • Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • Valid NSW Drivers Licence
  • Current AHPRA Registration or Social Work degree and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant clinical experience post-graduation providing trauma-informed therapeutic support services
