Job Title: Portable Workshop Technician

Overview:

  • • We are seeking a skilled and hands-on technician to join our workshop team.
  • • The ideal candidate will have experience in a workshop or production environment, preferably in a supervisory or team leader role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • • Supervise and work alongside a team of workshop technicians.
  • • Oversee daily workshop operations to ensure efficiency and high-quality standards.
  • • Ensure all processes comply with Australian Standards.
  • • Develop and implement efficient workplace procedures to optimize productivity.
  • • Liaise regularly with the store person and other supervisors regarding stock and production needs.
  • • Assist with internal and external ISO audit processes.
  • • Complete internal invoicing, purchase ordering, and maintain associated documentation.
  • • Maintain production registers and all required paperwork accurately and on time.
  • • Stock management and deliveries to offsite storage site.
  • • Uphold workplace health and safety standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • • Leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a small team.
  • • Good understanding of Australian Standards relevant to fire equipment servicing (training provided if required).
  • • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • • Ability to manage stock control processes effectively.
  • • Competent with internal invoicing, purchase ordering, and general administration.
  • • Strong focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.
