Our client, a leading global business in packaging and resource recovery, is currently seeking an experienced Mobile Technician to join their team and carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs across multiple key sites in Melbourne.
The Role
This role will play a vital part in keeping operations running smoothly across all equipment and machinery. As the Mobile Technician, you'll report directly to the Workshop Manager and work collaboratively with site teams.
- Diagnose and service various mobile equipment including Forklifts, Scissor Lifts and Loaders.
- Respond to breakdowns across multiple sites, providing timely and effective repairs.
- Attend breakdowns and complete diagnostic and fault-finding work.
- Carry out hydraulic repairs, minor welding, and basic electrical fault rectification.
- Assist with ordering parts, inventory management and job reporting.
- Maintain strong safety standards and comply with all site procedures.
Key Requirements
- Certified Diesel Mechanic or Light Vehicle Mechanic qualification.
- Minimum 5 years' mechanical experience - ideally with forklifts, mobile plant or earthmoving equipment.
- Strong diagnostics and fault finding capability.
- Current full driver's licence (essential).
- Forklift licence highly regarded (or willingness to obtain).
- A proactive approach and ability to work independently and efficiently across multiple locations.
