Job Title: Mobile Technician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mobile Technician to join our team in Melbourne. As the Mobile Technician, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a variety of mobile equipment including Forklifts, Scissor Lifts and Loaders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel mechanics or light vehicle mechanics with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. They will also have excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To diagnose, service and repair mobile equipment such as Forklifts, Scissor Lifts and Loaders
  • To respond to breakdowns across multiple sites providing timely and effective repairs
  • To attend breakdowns and complete diagnostic and fault-finding work
  • To carry out hydraulic repairs, minor welding and basic electrical fault rectification
  • To assist with ordering parts, inventory management and job reporting

Requirements:

  • Certified Diesel Mechanic or Light Vehicle Mechanic
  • Minimum 5 years' mechanical experience ideally with forklifts, mobile plant or earthmoving equipment
  • Strong diagnostics and fault finding capability
  • Current full driver's licence (essential)
  • Forklift licence highly regarded (or willingness to obtain)
