Job Title: Mobile Technician

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team as a skilled mobile equipment technician. As the ideal candidate, you will have extensive experience in diagnosing, servicing and repairing various types of mobile equipment including forklifts, scissor lifts and loaders.

  • Diagnose, service and repair complex mobile equipment ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are maintained.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns at multiple sites across Melbourne, providing timely and effective repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct thorough diagnostic and fault-finding work to identify and rectify issues efficiently.
  • Carry out hydraulic repairs, minor welding and basic electrical fault rectification with minimal supervision.
  • Assist with parts ordering, inventory management and job reporting to ensure seamless workflow.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with site teams to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certified Diesel Mechanic or Light Vehicle Mechanic with a strong background in mobile plant maintenance.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in mechanical repair and maintenance preferably with forklifts, mobile plant or earthmoving equipment.
  • Excellent diagnostics and fault-finding capabilities with attention to detail.
  • Current full driver's license (essential) with a willingness to obtain a forklift license.
  • A proactive, safety-focused approach and ability to work independently and efficiently across multiple locations.
