We are a leading international law firm with a global team of over 5,000 professionals. Our market-leading Business Development team is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Consultant to join our Employment, Industrial Relations and Safety (EIRS) practice group.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a client-centric Business Development Consultant to provide national support to our EIRS practice group and key sectors. You will be responsible for driving new revenue by coaching partners to pursue opportunities in new and emerging markets, developing the group's BD strategy, and contributing to the preparation of directory submissions and pitch documents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive new revenue by effectively coaching partners to pursue opportunities in new and emerging markets.
  • Develop and implement the group's BD strategy in collaboration with the Regional Head of Practice and partners.
  • Contribute to the preparation of directory submissions, pitch documents, and other marketing materials.
  • Analyse firm client data to identify opportunities to undertake EIRS-related work and assist with the development and implementation of appropriate strategies.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years' experience in a Business Development role with a focus on strategic selling, pursuits management, and account management.
  • Technical knowledge of business development, including tactical sales, negotiation, and relationship building.
  • Experience building relationships with and coaching stakeholders at all levels.
  • Sound knowledge of corporate Australia and the employment, industrial relations, and/or safety law.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying opportunities, building strategic relationships and networks, and managing clients and pursuing new business.
  • Project management skills and experience in managing major bids.
