Caregiver & Spiritual Support Specialist

At Catholic Healthcare, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to our residents. As a Pastoral Care Coordinator, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality pastoral care services that cater to the unique needs of each individual.
About the RoleThis is a part-time permanent position, approximately 3 days per fortnight, based at St Francis, our 48-bed home in Grafton, NSW. You will work collaboratively with the service manager and staff to provide effective pastoral care services to residents and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver pastoral and spiritual care to residents, ensuring their individual needs are met;
- Collaborate with the service manager and staff to develop and implement pastoral care plans;
- Provide regular ecumenical church services to assist residents in growing spiritually;
- Maintain accurate records of pastoral care activities and resident interactions;
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A background or qualifications in pastoral care or counselling (clinical pastoral education, theology, or spirituality);
- Previous experience in an aged care environment is highly desirable;
- The ability to demonstrate Catholic Healthcare's values of compassion, courage, and integrity;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills;
- Able to complete computer-based pastoral care plans for each resident;
- Qualifications in counselling are desirable;
- Able to provide a weekly Ecumenical Church service to assist residents of all faiths to grow spiritually (desirable).
