Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join our aquatic operations team at North Sydney Olympic Pool.

The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting in the efficient and effective setup and management of the pool's operations. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of one of Sydney's most iconic sites, with the chance to create and build your team from the ground up.

About the Job:

  • Develop and manage the operations of a team of lifeguards and Duty Managers.
  • Deliver and maintain industry leading services and facilities to the community.
  • Support facility attendance and income by providing a safe environment for all pool and facility users.
  • Maintain all legislative and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the NSOP lifeguard and maintenance team.
  • Ensure efficient and effective lifeguard staffing levels and performance.
  • Provide compliant water quality and appropriate chemical storage and usage.
  • Oversee facility maintenance and various contractors.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in the operations of aquatic and recreational facilities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge/understanding of aquatic industry standards in relation to pool supervision, water quality, and the use and storage of chemicals.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to lead, coach, and mentor a high-performance team focused on strong customer service.
  • Skills and experience in strategic (business) planning and resource management.
  • Organisational, communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of computer information systems related to aquatic operations.
