Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary qualifications in Welfare, Social Work, Child Development or relevant field (if Diploma level, willingness to study further)
  • Current Victorian driver's licence
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
  • Demonstrated ability to provide safe environments for children and young people and protect them from abuse and neglect
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of issues surrounding the out-of-home care system and available resources and services
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills with adults, adolescents, children and sector representatives
