Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Fitter to join our team at the QCoal Northern Hub Coal Project in the Bowen Basin. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine servicing and repair tasks on large-scale mobile mining equipment.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in diesel fitting, with experience working on heavy earthmoving equipment. You will be required to source technical information from relevant manuals and computer-based systems, complete general maintenance, breakdowns, services, and component change-outs to a high standard.

In addition to your technical skills, you will also need to demonstrate good housekeeping standards and conduct regular inspections to maximise equipment utilisation.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Trade Certificate in Diesel Fitting or equivalent
  • Post-trade experience working in the Mining or Heavy Earth Moving industry
  • Experience in General Maintenance, Breakdowns, Component Change Outs and Servicing of Heavy Earth Moving Equipment
  • Demonstrated experience with CAT, Komatsu and Hitachi Heavy Earth Moving Equipment
