Heavy Earth Moving Equipment Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced technician to perform servicing, repair, and maintenance of large-scale mobile mining equipment. This will involve completing general maintenance, breakdowns, services, and component change outs to the highest standard.

You will also source technical information from relevant manuals, technical bulletins, OEM, and computer-based systems to ensure that all work is carried out efficiently.

In addition, you will conduct regular inspections to maximise equipment utilisation and maintain good housekeeping standards at all times.

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on heavy earth moving equipment, including diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical faults on heavy earth moving equipment.
  • Conduct pre-start checks on heavy earth moving equipment and identify potential issues before they become major problems.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A trade certificate in diesel fitting or equivalent.
  • Post-trade experience working in the mining or heavy earth moving industry.
  • Experience in general maintenance, breakdowns, component change outs, and servicing of heavy earth moving equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience with CAT, Komatsu, and Hitachi heavy earth moving equipment.
