Medical Receptionist/Assistant Job

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Medical Receptionist/Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills, be able to prioritize tasks efficiently and possess previous computer experience.

The role involves:

  • Receiving patients and assisting elderly/disabled individuals
  • Computer appointment bookings (PracSuite), accounts, EFTPOS, HICAPS for 2 clinics
  • Typing medical reports and letters
  • Opening and closing procedures, reconciliations
  • Patient follow ups and recalls
  • Assisting during procedures
  • Sterilising medical instruments
  • Room set up and clean up
  • General cleaning

The ideal applicant will have:

  • Excellent customer service skills, phone skills (2 lines) and presentation
  • Flexibility with start and finish times (earliest 7:45am, latest 7pm)
  • Reliability, trustworthiness and hard work ethic
  • Ability to quickly learn, adapt and multitask
  • Previous computer accounts knowledge
  • Own reliable transport, preferably within 30 mins commute

This is a part-time and permanent position offering a competitive hourly rate of $28.00 - $35.00. The expected hours are 10 - 20 per week.

  • Rotating roster
  • Shift work

Supplementary pay includes a performance bonus.

  • Are you flexible with work times eg. 7:45am - 1pm, 2pm - 7pm Monday to Thursday?
  • Are you flexible to work across 2 clinics, Balcatta and Wanneroo?
  • Do you have your own car for transport?
  • Is your travel time to these locations less than 30 mins?

Required experience includes being a Medical receptionist with at least 1 year of experience. Work authorisation in Australia is also required.
