Job Title: Workplace Relations, Employment
The role is to provide expert advice on employment law to clients. This involves assisting with employment agreements and company policies, advising on industrial relations, providing guidance on workplace issues, and interpreting employment legislation.
Key Responsibilities:- Drafting, interpreting and advising on employment agreements and company policies and procedures.
- Managing industrial relations issues faced by clients, including terminations, grievances and disciplinary processes.
- Providing guidance on workplace issues such as discrimination and work health and safety compliance and investigations.
- Interpreting employment legislation such as the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) and the Work Health and Safety Act, 2011 (NSW).
- Conducting litigation such as unfair dismissal, general protections, breach of contract claims and restraint matters.
- A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in employment law.
- Relevant experience in drafting and advocacy at conciliation or directions hearings.
- Strong analytical and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage client relationships and matters independently.
- Possession of a proactive and collaborative working style.
