About the Role

The role of National Legal Advocate is a vital position within our organisation. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical part in advancing the interests of our members and promoting a fairer work environment.

We are seeking an experienced legal professional who can provide high-quality advice and representation to our officials and members on workplace relations matters. This includes representing us in industrial tribunals and courts, developing strategic litigation campaigns, and collaborating with other departments to achieve organisational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert legal advice on workplace relations matters
  • Represent the organisation in industrial tribunals and courts
  • Develop and implement strategic litigation campaigns
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve organisational objectives
Requirements
  • Admitted as a solicitor or barrister in an Australian jurisdiction
  • Proven experience in industrial law and/or union representation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
