About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Legal Counsel to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in providing expert legal advice and support to our production business.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in copyright law and a deep understanding of the ownership of rights in content and underlying material.

You will work closely with our production executives to advise on rights issues and clearance matters, and assist with the preparation of production protocols and guidance notes for production teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert legal advice and support to our production business
  • Advise on rights issues and clearance matters

  • Draft and negotiate agreements related to the exploitation of ancillary rights
Requirements
  • Qualified solicitor (essential)
  • Strong background in copyright law
  • Deep understanding of the ownership of rights in content and underlying material
  • Excellent drafting skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet conflicting deadlines
