About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Health Promotion Specialist to join our team in NSW. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the reproductive and sexual health of communities across the region.

The successful candidate will have tertiary qualifications in health promotion or a similar field, as well as previous experience working with priority population groups. They will also have experience in establishing partnerships with relevant organisations and facilitating collaborative action.

This role involves supporting community-based projects, consumer engagement, health information resource production, community education, and capacity building. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal, negotiation, written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to manage competing demands and adapt effectively to change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing health promotion projects utilising evidence-based frameworks
  • Establishing partnerships with relevant organisations to support community-based projects
  • Facilitating collaborative action to address health inequities
  • Providing expert advice and guidance to stakeholders on reproductive and sexual health matters
  • Contributing to the development of health information resources and materials

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in health promotion or a similar field
  • Previous experience working with priority population groups
  • Experience in establishing partnerships with relevant organisations
  • Demonstrated ability in design, delivery, and evaluation of community-based education projects
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing demands and adapt effectively to change
