Job Title

Assistant Project Officer - A Key Role in Population Health

Job Description

As a vital member of the Centre for Population Health team, this position plays a critical role in promoting health and preventing morbidity and mortality caused by modifiable risk factors. The centre has portfolios including blood borne viruses, sexual health, tobacco, and obesity.

The Centre collaborates with Local Health Districts to support the local delivery of policies, programs, and services across the state.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide project support and advice on monitoring, research, and evaluation aspects of chronic disease prevention programs and initiatives managed by the Centre for Population Health.
  • Support coordination and contribute to data analysis (quantitative analysis skills would be an advantage).
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Sound knowledge of obesity, chronic disease prevention, management of conditions through healthy lifestyle factors, and health promotion issues across the lifespan.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills, the capacity to successfully complete several tasks concurrently and to achieve competing deadlines.
  • Effective oral, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
Benefits Package

Crown Clerk 5/6 salary range from $99,938 - $110,271 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.
