Health Promotion Officer

This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that promotes healthy lifestyles and prevents chronic diseases.

The role involves working with stakeholders to develop and implement policies, programs and services that promote health and prevent morbidity and mortality caused by modifiable risk factors.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience and skills in health promotion and preventive health program management, as well as qualifications or experience in public health and/or a related discipline such as nutrition or physical activity.

The successful applicant will be able to support the work of NSW Health by providing project support and advice on monitoring, research and evaluation aspects of chronic disease prevention programs and initiatives.

About This Role

  • Motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health should have:
  • Solid experience and skills in health promotion and preventive health program management.

  • Sound knowledge of obesity, chronic disease prevention, management of conditions through healthy lifestyle factors and health promotion issues across the lifespan.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in data analysis (quantitative analysis skills would be an advantage).
