Job Summary

The role of Marine Master is a challenging and rewarding position that requires a high level of professionalism, leadership skills, and customer service experience. As a key member of the operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring safe and reliable transport for commuters between Perth and South Perth.

About the Role

  • Responsibility for the implementation and operation of navigation, mooring, loading, maintenance, and emergency response procedures to ensure vessel safety and reliability.
  • Conducting regular drills in accordance with company schedules to maintain operational readiness.
  • Management of disruptions, including assistance with customer communication and issue resolution.
  • Overseeing the maintenance of deck equipment and engine rooms to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensuring the cleanliness and housekeeping of the vessel, including the organization of stores, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintaining a high level of work ethics and professionalism at all times.
  • Ensuring timely arrival and departure of vessels complying with regulations set down by the Public Transport Authority.

  • Good understanding of vessel handling and navigation principles.

  • Marine tourism industry experience is desirable but not essential.
