**Who we are**
At Transgrid, our work improves the lives of millions - from lighting up sports fields, schools and homes, to powering the wheels of commerce and everything else in between. Now it's your turn to make it happen.
Transgrid offer fulfilling careers for driven people who can help ensure that our business and the essential services we provide to consumers, the community and key stakeholders are continually improving. With us you will thrive in a collaborative environment where new ideas and knowledge sharing are encouraged, and where you'll be supported through opportunities to develop and achieve your full potential.
This is an exciting time in the energy industry with the transition to renewable energy. Recent government policy documents outline plans to facilitate increasing transmission interconnection between states and development of renewable energy zones.
**The Opportunity**
The Resilience Manager plays a key part in Transgrid's resilience strategy using a risk-based approach to prepare and protect our people, assets and information, minimise the impact that interruptions may do to our business and help recover to normal operations as safely and efficiently as possible.
The resilience program at Transgrid includes emergency, crisis and business continuity management as well as the protective security areas addressing personnel, physical and supply chain hazards.
This role has two distinct modes of operation; a business-as-usual component that focuses on relationship management, collaboration and planning for different types of resilience requirements, and a response component that operates in a high stress environment implementing previously rehearsed procedures and rapidly responding to the unfolding needs of a crisis.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Manage the Resilience Framework including policies, training, material change risk assessment, risk and control self-assessment, incident and issue management, control assurance and associated tools.
- Lead, manage and develop relevant resilience programs which align to relevant law, Australian Standards and Transgrid Key Risk Indicators.
- Design and maintain reporting system and templates to ensure timely and accurate collation and analysis of incident information.
- Review regular status reports, ad hoc updates, and event alerts, from extensive internal and external sources and leverage insights to identify improvement opportunities within our current framework.
- Identify and emphasise criticality to ensure we align our attention with risk and operational priorities.
- Keep strategies and plans up to date, refreshed to ensure they're streamlined, easy to interpret at an operational level and are regularly reviewed, current and tested.
- Supporting the Crisis and Emergency Management team/s in time of incidents.
- Identifying and emphasising critical priorities to ensure time and focus is aligned with risk and operational priorities
- Conducting risk assessments with various departments and functions, analysing potential business threats and the impact of unpredictable business interruptions
- Determining what assets need be protected and in which priorities
- Determining what systems and business processes need to be recovered and in which priorities
- Implementing, documenting, and testing solutions
- Driving an innovation roadmap to support business activity and growth
- Timely and accurate reporting of intelligence
**Position Requirements**:
- 5+ years' experience in risk management, resilience, security, and corporate organisational experience.
- Experience in leading and supporting decision-making in a complex and fast-growing organisation, navigating change, and adapting quickly.
- Sound understanding of risk, threat and intelligence practices
- Visible and engaging cross-functional stakeholder influencing and management skills.
- Demonstrated experience facilitating sessions with business leaders.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to simplify the complex
- Results orientated, relentlessly uncover challenges and collaborate widely to find suitable solutions.
- Ability to communicate analysis of data and performance measurement in a meaningful way.
- Ability to schedule, plan and prioritise resource management.
- An understanding of incidents and issues and how to document these
- Self-managing, but a strong team player that can collaborate well
**Recognition & Reward**
In return for your hard work, we have numerous benefits and initiatives to support you personally and professionally including but not limited to private health insurance discount, motor vehicle lease plan, career development support, study assistance program and workplace flexibility.
