Perinatal Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Mental Health Clinician to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will provide high-level clinical advice and support to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
The role involves providing direct patient care within the Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Service (PIMHS), including clinic appointments, home visiting, and in-reach into maternity settings. You will also be responsible for supporting the needs of parents of infants who are experiencing significant mental health issues.
Main Responsibilities:- Provide expert clinical advice to patients, families, and healthcare professionals on perinatal and infant mental health issues.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver service excellence and patient-centered care.
- Develop educational tools and programs to support service excellence and improve patient outcomes.
- Conduct home visits and in-reach into maternity settings to provide support and guidance to patients and families.
- Social Worker or Occupational Therapist qualifications with current full registration with AHPRA and/or eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- Qualifications in Psychology with a recognised 4-year degree in Psychology, full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) and minimum 8 years' experience post-full registration.
- Registered Nurse with at least five years post-registration clinical experience and postgraduate qualifications relevant to the area of specialty.
- Extensive postgraduate clinical experience in mental health, with experience working with families of infants where parents are experiencing severe and complex psychosocial and psychiatric problems.
