Casual Shift Work Opportunity
Our organisation is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious individual to fill a casual stevedore position. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment, supporting our client's operations by loading and discharging general cargoes and commodities.
About the Role:
This position requires the successful candidate to work with various mechanical equipment, including ITV's and small fork-lifts. They will be responsible for lashing and unlashing containers, as well as performing basic servicing of equipment and security duties.
Essential Requirements:
- A valid Manual Driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Willingness to obtain an MSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card)
- Forklift ticket (an advantage)
- Ability to work irregular shifts pattern
- Capacity to perform heavy manual labor
Key Skills and Experience:
- Experience in operating equipment, loading and unloading cargo
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to comply with safety behaviours and work effectively within a team environment
Able to:
- Operate machinery safely and efficiently
- Load and discharge cargo with minimal supervision
- Perform manual labor in a fast-paced environment
We are looking for someone who:
- Is physically fit and able to lift heavy loads
- Has a positive attitude towards learning and development
- Can work independently and as part of a team
Please note that this is a casual position, requiring flexibility and adaptability.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and possess strong communication and teamwork skills.
