About the Opportunity
The role of Planning Officer is a key position in supporting port logistics. This involves ensuring that planning systems, purchasing, and compliance processes are delivered accurately and meet operational needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining up-to-date data and records in logistics systems to support operational planning.
  • Delivering high-quality customer service by resolving issues and working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with operational standards, including NHVR, customs, and biosecurity requirements.
  • Supporting purchasing and planning tasks to align with customer agreements and business targets.
  • Monitoring service levels and providing updates to meet internal and external reporting requirements.
Requirements
  • A relevant tertiary qualification or experience in a logistics, supply chain, or port operations role.
  • Knowledge of NHVR, customs, or biosecurity regulations.
  • Experience using TMS or other freight and cargo management systems.
  • A strong customer service focus and the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
  • Flexibility to work at short notice, including irregular hours and weekends when required.
