Port Operations Specialist

This position involves operating and maintaining launches to support various activities in the port. The launch operator will work independently and as part of a team to ensure smooth operations.
The role requires strong technical skills, including knowledge of marine engines and electrical systems. Additionally, administrative experience and computer literacy are essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain launches to facilitate pilot transfer, maintenance, and other activities;
- Prepare and analyze statistics and reports on vessel performance;
- Assist with asset maintenance as required;
- Use oil pollution response equipment under direction from emergency responders;
- Master Class V Certificate of Competency and Marine Engine Driver Grade 2 of Competency;
- Administrative experience and strong computer literacy;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills;
- Current driver's license;
- Trade qualification and/or understanding of electrical systems desired.
- Formal training provided;
- Up to 8 paid hours per annum to volunteer;
- Up to 3 days per annum of cultural leave for First Nations employees;
