Property Compliance Specialist

We seek a seasoned professional to fill the Property Compliance Officer role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting regular inspections of port land and property to ensure compliance with agreements and standards. They will identify and report instances of non-compliance, implement strategies to mitigate risk, and remediate any issues promptly.

This position offers a mix of office work in Port Adelaide and time spent outdoors at our metropolitan and regional ports. The Property Compliance Officer will support the Group Property Manager in overseeing the broader property function, contributing to ongoing improvements and helping to enhance the standard of property use.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of port land and property;
  • Identify and report instances of non-compliance;
  • Implement strategies to mitigate risk;
  • Remediate instances of non-compliance swiftly;
  • Support tenants, licensees, and other users of port land and property.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's licence;
  • Experience in a compliance or regulatory role;
  • Ability to interpret and understand property agreements (leases, licences), property legislation, and various statutes;
  • Experience with managing compliance in a public-facing role;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
