Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support clients in accordance with their NDIS plans, promoting independence and self-advocacy.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming, while maintaining a high level of dignity and respect.
  • Provide transportation assistance to clients, ensuring safe and reliable transport.
  • Offer respite care for clients and their families, alleviating stress and promoting relaxation.
  • Maintain accurate records of client care plans and progress, facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Foster effective communication with clients, their families, and the care team, promoting collaboration and understanding.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, prioritizing client well-being and safety.
  • Attend regular meetings with clients and their families, addressing concerns and celebrating successes.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, enhancing skills and knowledge in the NDIS field.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum high school or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 1 year experience working with people with disabilities.
  • A strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with CRM software and NDIS portals.
  • Health and safety regulations knowledge.
  • Diverse client base understanding.
  • Care and first aid skills.
  • Independent work and teamwork.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
