Key Responsibilities

The role involves close collaboration with the commercial team to focus on driving revenue growth, profitability and market competitiveness.

  • Monitor competitors, market trends, and customer data to identify risks and opportunities; review contracts for financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare monthly reports with variance analysis, support month-end close, and ensure accurate revenue recognition and commentary.
  • Maintain product, customer, and segment profitability analysis; assist in budgeting and forecasting with commercially sound assumptions.
  • Track overheads and operating expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities and efficiency gains.
  • Partner with commercial teams, finance, operations, and product to align strategies; and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Build scenario models for current revenue pricing, new products; analyse historicals to improve planning accuracy.
  • Track KPIs, highlight revenue/margin risks, and enhance reporting tools to deliver actionable insights.

 

Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting or Finance, with CA/CPA qualification considered desirable.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar analyst or commercial planning role.
  • Experience using SAP or similar accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills including functions, modelling and pivot tables.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau.
  • A sound understanding of accounting standards and their application.
  • The ability to interpret and work with large datasets to generate meaningful insights.
  • A proven track record of working in fast-paced environments and meeting deadlines.
