About the Role

At ING, we're seeking an experienced Risk and Compliance Manager to join our Wealth division. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of 3 Lines of defense models, risk management, and regulatory requirements in the Australian wealth industry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying and assessing risks to our Wealth portfolio, developing mitigating controls, and ensuring compliance with relevant prudential standards and obligations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and govern risk and compliance aspects of existing super and insurance portfolios across a squad structure.
  • Identify and assess risks to the Wealth portfolio and develop mitigating controls to manage them.
  • Own or participate in root cause analysis for open risks and assist or own the implementation of solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Support the implementation of regulatory changes.
  • Help design risk and compliance strategy for Wealth products in line with ING's brand, local and global strategic and regulatory objectives.
  • Provide support to internal and external stakeholders.

What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years' experience in a risk/product-related role.
  • 3+ years' experience in a financial services background.
  • Knowledge of the Australian wealth industry.
  • A sound understanding of relevant prudential standards and obligations relating to superannuation/insurance.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • The ability to negotiate with all levels of management and external stakeholders to influence decisions, make recommendations, and implement change.
  • Strong attention to detail.
